An Accessibility QA Tool for Websites
Looking for a quick and easy way to check accessibility on your personal or company website?
I just tried out the accessibility quality assurance (AQA) test by UsableNet (thanks to Jason Taylor for making me aware of it!) and am super excited about the powerful accessibility audit it provides.
The free version of their AQA test:
✅ reviews a single website page for compliance with WCAG standards
✅ emails you a report with a list of specific issues to review or fix
✅ generates an overall A11y score for the page.
My report showed me, for example, that on my portfolio home page, I should review the color contrast of text in my footer and that I have an empty link! 🫢 I’ll be using my report to fix these issues STAT.
If you try out the UsableNet AQA test, let me know what kind of accessibility issues it helps you identify and solve for your website!
